We help board members and business leaders drive and accelerate their companys’ climate action plans.
Net Zero Education, Strategy and Delivery
By the end of 2021, the majority of U.S. directors recognized the need to include climate on their board agenda. And many companies have responded to climate risks as well as stakeholder pressures by establishing net zero targets. However, often there is a gap in board knowledge between setting these targets and the implications for investment, operations and public disclosure.
Plan C is partnering with 3Degrees to equip board directors and executives with the information they need to steward their organizations’ path to net zero. We review organizational readiness for climate action, providing board education and governance recommendations as needed. We assess the current status of companies’ Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, identifying reductions necessary to meet net zero commitments. We work with management to develop programs to achieve ambitious climate targets while ensuring essential information, including investment requirements, flows to the board and progress to targets is publicly disclosed.

"True leaders in sustainability weave this mindset into the core ethos and practices of their companies. They understand that taking the long-term view could mean that the financial benefits of prioritizing the environment can take many years to manifest and yet it is the only right answer. My executive roles at Stitch Fix, Nike and Patagonia underlined the power of leading with this mindset."
