Mr Thornton is CEO and Founder, Carbon Analytics, which automates carbon footprinting for businesses via accounting integrations – enabling businesses of all sizes to measure, manage, and improve their climate impact.

Michael is co-founder of Odyssey Sensors which builds low-cost environmental sensors to improve yields, decrease resource consumption, and improve outcomes for developing world and small agriculture and aquaculture.

As a Sustainable Infrastructure Engineer Michael has designed renewable energy and water systems for cities, eco-resort developments, and green campuses around the world. He has served as Volunteer/Mentor for Engineers Without Borders and assisted MIT’s EWB Chapter with developing power and water resources for a rural health clinic and village in Ddegeya, Uganda.
