Chris has long worked with the US Congress on energy and environmental issues and brings this expertise to advising companies on climate related regulatory and policy areas.

Background

Currently a partner at AJW, Mr Miller brings more than 26 years of energy and environmental experience working for Congress.

For nearly 8 years Chris was a senior policy advisor to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Senate Democratic Caucus on energy and environmental matters. He coordinated and communicated policy and political priorities within the Caucus, and with outside groups, White House and Administration officials, and the private sector.

He assisted in the Senate’s consideration of nearly all energy and environmental legislation that came before it, including the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. While working for the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, he advised Chairman Jim Jeffords on environmental provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and handled climate change, Clean Air Act and energy and environmental technology issues.

As a longtime staffer for Senator Carl Levin, Chris covered issues including the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, energy, water, transportation and technology.
